FujiSan — hey! see you again??!!

Thursday, August 25th, 2005

Aches gone and chapped skin’s a little of a history now… the thought of going back to Fuji keeps tickling my mind. After swearing off mountains and walking per se — the idea of going back to the glamorous hell, which led to the oath by the way, is simply DoOoPEyy!!

The climb <crawling more like it> was not entirely a disappointment since we were able to finger the stones, grasp the gravel, feel the gust and all those shit.. man, it was horrible!!! I smelled like horse dung back in the 5th station.. OopS! I’m suppose to expoUnd on the compensations… ;-)

The clouds was/were <which?> really breathtaking. It gives you a feeling of being in heaven which makes a little suicidal in some point. You just want to jump and feel the puffy thingy floating there… or maybe a roller coaster amidst those cottoncandies would be great!

The sunrise was bliss for the soul but not for the face. Okay! I’ll stop right here! I’ve just realized that I’m still a little cranky..

Whew!

It’s just that… we were just a dozen of rests before the summit, y’know.. yet we never really made it there. Hmmm… that made it a little bitin. It’s like getting a like of the big portion of the icing but not really tasting the real cake. I’m serious here! I’m starting to sound metaphoric again, and this is a little dangerous for a 16MB memory brain, y’know..

The main motivation of the climb <crawl??> was to reach the top and see the — i don’t know.. stones? yeah! to see the stones and take super-duper many photos!!

Oh yeah… I really have to go back there. Being a great moron that I am, with brain cells popping all the time– I FORGOT TO BRING MY CAMERA! DUng!! Of all things. I got all my chocolates <which is one of the reason I was excited about the trip in the first place…>, several useless clothing layers, my teddy bear…. the camera? somewhere in my room.

Huh! Yey.. I’m gonna conquer Mt. Apo when I get back in the Philippines, then I’m going back here in Japan. I’m gonna crawl my way to that blasted, bloody, cursed mountain top with my camera! Darn!!

ROARRRR!!!!

Swearing over cramping muscles!

"I swear, not another mountain in my life!"

After trekking the barren cliff of the elusive Mt. Fuji, that was the comforting phrase constantly uttered to keep me sane. Man, the trail  was horrible. if i could only describe the horror of being stuck there, i’m gonna go nuts just recalling everything. stones, after stones.. crawling in the dark, while holding the flashlight with your teeth so that you can use both hands to grasp for your life.

wih layers of clothing preventing you from moving easily, crawling… crawling.. oh yeah.. the pride of being able to say "I climb the highest point of Japan in my youth."

that’s all for now.. i’m still bitter over the sore muscles and joints plus sunburned&chapped face. nevertheless, the view was more than Glorious! It was to die for… that’s why i just died!

*I’ll get back on this later. I’m just mussing around, cussing over the heavenly sight through all the pain! I sound poetic, can u beliv?

Reports done and exams over!! Thank God for the break…

-Just came from Ishikawa-ken.
-Enjoyed an 8-day all-expense-paid trip to Ishikawa
-Met other foreign students in Japan.
-Got home last Friday, August 5.. arrived at midnight.

…Back to the real world… its good to be home!

but after a week of activity-filled days in Ishikawa, the quiet Saturday was quite unusual.. We went to a festival then in the nearby town for Samba. If you can call that dancing samba — it only appeared to me as cellulite-shaking, buttcheek-showing piece of parade. whew…

the Sunday came without plans, but ended up in Yokohama to buy memory cards for Grace’s Disney Birthday!!! WHOOOOOOOhoOoo!O!!!

——- the bad thing about this Sunday? We ended up in a Bread eat-all-you-can. So, don’t blame me for the extra pounds, blame the endless bread-supply. BAYUTTTT!!!

Announcement!!! Announcement!!

GRACE FINALLY SHAVED HER LEGS!!!

Sick & Sleepless

Sick

The sun’s semi-out now….they always come out so early nowadays…

I’m tired, couldn’t sleep. Now I’m starting to get dizzy.. yet, no matter how much I try to close my eyes and get a wink, my consciousness just wouldn’t cooperate. I give up.

Now……what I’m doing?

……..listening to my MP3 while surfing the net for nothing… semi-polishing my reports due tomorrow, as well… (sigh!)

-4:45am, July 9. Dormitory Lounge

(hoobastank’s ‘crawling on the dark` is on my speaker at the moment, by the way… what a fitting soundtrack for my present situation…)
